Each package is equipped with a comprehensive standard specification list, which typically includes:
• Low lift combined suction / delivery valves specifically for low density gas operation
• Integral inter and aftercoolers with separators on each stage of compression
• Automatic isolating valve on cooling water inlet
• Electrically controlled automatic unloader/drainage (solenoid valve operated)
• Forced lubrication system “spin-on” replaceable filter
• Oil pressure gauge
• Low oil pressure protection switch
• Special gas type crankshaft oil seal assembly
• Gas type oil filler assembly • Gas type crankcase breather piped back to suction
• Corrosion rods and safety bursting disc in cooling water jacket• Combined temperature indicator with combined cut-out switch on 3rd stage delivery
• Combined temperature indicator with combined cut-out switch on final delivery
• Compressor non return valve
• Controlling pressure switch, (supplied loose)
• Drive arrangement – vee belt drive or direct coupled according to m/c size / type
• TEFV, IP55 electric motor• Marine type (captive) anti-vibration mounts
Compressor packages are also commonly supplied with a range of ancillary equipment, such as:
• Starter / control panel
• Gas clean-up filtration pack
• CO (carbon monoxide) monitor (optional – supplied loose)
• O2 (oxygen) monitor (optional – supplied loose)
Note: Standard specification sets assume direct cooling from a suitable fresh water supply on-board. Alternatives for direct sea water cooling and cooling via sea water / fresh water heat exchanger systems are available on request.Standard instruments are conventional switch devices. As an alternative, transmitter devices (4 – 20mA) can be quoted for on request. Additional instrument options, such as water temperature indicators and cooling water flow-switch are available on request. The “Standard” specification listed above typically indicates the scope of supply for a dedicated Heliox transfer compressor. Machines that are configured for other duties may differ slightly in scope of supply (usually related to gas / air inlet equipment)
